Eliza Greenman: Farmer

Eliza Greenman is an heirloom and cider fruit orchardist, fruit explorer, public speaker, and farmer activist. When first learning the management practices which go into producing flawless fruit, she began to question the chemicals and impetus involved in ridding fruits of their cosmetic blemishes. In not finding any answers of substance, she’s been on a quest to educate consumers on the costs of eating beautiful fruit. In bringing about awareness through cosmetic blemishes (such as #eatuglyapples and #drinkuglyapples), she and other fruit growers across the country can begin to lessen their dependence on using fungicides for the sake of beauty. Her orchard/fruit/cider musings can be found on her website: www.elizapples.com
