Restorative Loving Kindness Retreat at Fox Haven


Feb 9th – 11th 2018




Take a break, slow down and nourish your mind, body, and soul to meet yourself again.  The beginning of the year is when you set healthy goals for yourself.


Teachers speak to mindful movement ( yoga), meditation techniques, journal writing, healing massage, meditative drawing, and plant based cooking to help balance and nourish your body mentally and physically.



The Restorative Loving Kindness Retreat offers :

The gentle and practical teachings of Yoga including daily practice of asana (the physical poses), pranayama (breathing practices), guided deep relaxation and meditation


Contemplative Activities in the sacred space of Fox Haven inside and outside ( winter nature walks )

Plant Based  Cooking class on Sunday plus  Meditative Drawing


*** This retreat is suited to students of all levels of experience. Those new to Yoga and the practice of meditation will receive full instruction and support.  More experienced practitioners will appreciate the freedom to explore their own practice in more depth.


Schedule


Friday – Feb 9th 2018


Arrival – 5:30 – 7 pm – If people want a plant based and vegetarian dinner this is self serve starting at 6 pm in the kitchen.


7pm – 7:30 – Introductions with Jan at Fox House


7:30 – 8:30 pm – Loving Kindness Meditation and Discussion


8:30 – 9:00 pm – Introduction to Self Compassion Journal writing


9:00 – 9:45  pm – Candlelight Yin yoga session


Saturday – Feb 10th 2018


Optional – 6:30 am – Yoga  and meditation session


7:30 – 8:45 am – self serve Breakfast – plant based and vegetarian


9:00 am – 10:30 am – Healing Meditation and Expression through Presence


11:00 am  – 12:00 pm – Transforming Relationships Old and New and with Yourself


12:15 – 2:00 pm – Lunch and Free Time


2:00 – 3:15 pm – Self Compassion in Our Daily Life


3:45 – 5:00 pm – Meditative Drawing


5:45 – 7:00 pm – Dinner and Free Time


7:00 – 7:45 pm – Loving Kindness Meditation and Discussion


7:45 – 9:00 pm – Healing Massage – Self Compassion/ Trust with Ben Frinton


9:15 – 9:45 pm – Candlelit Yoga Session ( Optional)


Sunday Feb. 11th


Optional 6:30 – 7:30 am – Yoga Session


7:30 – 8:45 am – Self serve plant based or veggie breakfast


9:00 – 9:15 – Short Meditation – Opening to the day


9:15 – 10:00 am – How taking care of our bodies with food is a way to show ourselves Loving Kindness.


10 – 12 pm – Plant Based cooking – Wellness session with Lacey Walker of Fox Haven ( we are making lunch together)


12 – 12:30 pm – Eating together


jan12:45 pm – 2:00 pm – Gratitude Circle and Mandala making


2 – 2:20 pm – Closing
