About Taylor

Taylor grew up in Frederick, spending his formative years exploring the woods around Lake Linganore. This lead to a lifelong passion for understanding nature and the complex systems of life on our planet. In college he studied environmental education and ecology, and worked with community organizations in Baltimore to create and sustain gardens and green spaces in the city. He has worked on several farms, picking up a diversity of skills from mechanical repair to beekeeping. He has worked throughout Maryland as a farmer, gardener, and environmental educator for the past 8 years. Taylor’s passion for nature education is centered around the importance of experiential learning, and he is honored for the opportunity to bring his various skill sets to Fox Haven to help sustain a place where people can connect to the natural world through direct, intimate experiences.
