AstroHerbalism: Connect to Plants & Planets [Cancer, Leo, and Virgo] with Myra Chung

June 17, 2023 @ 10:00 am - 1:00 pm

With the Summer Solstice approaching, we will continue our walk through the astrological zodiac to honor the summer signs of Cancer, Leo, and Virgo and their energetic imprint on our earth. The Summer Solstice is the longest day of the year and a celebration that marks the official beginning of summer.

Some of the herbs we will be working with are Milky Oats, Motherwort, and Blue Vervain.

· Learn about the plants that are related to each of these signs and the different ways to use them

· Dive deeper into the planets that rule these signs: Moon, Sun, and Mercury

· Taste a tincture, tea, and flower essence in honor of each sign

· Activity to honor Cancer energy and welcoming of the Summer Solstice

· Walk through the garden to observe the shifts and changes in our environment from the Spring Equinox to the Summer Solstice

Meet Your Teacher

Myra Chung is an intuitive astrologer, herbalist, and energy practitioner. She is a devout practitioner of cosmic language, vibrational medicine, and elemental consciousness. She is always co-creating with the land and is dedicated to living in deep harmony and connection to the greater cycles that we are in.

In 2023, Fox Haven will continue to pay $2 from every ticket sale to the Piscataway Land Trust as a LandBack tax for the land Fox Haven inhabits. Land taxes to indigenous nations function similarly to paying rent or a home mortgage. Payments such as a mortgage provide access to living space, whereas LandBack taxes recognize our access to stolen Indigenous land.

About LandBack Tax
From 2022 onward, Fox Haven will donate $2 from each event ticket to the Kikeokan Foundation to pay LandBack tax, acknowledging our access to stolen Indigenous land. The Kikeokan Foundation is an Indigenous-led initiative working to restore ancestral land and sovereignty to the Piscataway and other Indigenous communities of the Chesapeake.
