Foraging Level 1: Cattail and Milkweed with Nick Spero
June 12 @ 1:00 pm - 4:00 pm$40.00
Early June may present the heat of the summer but it’s really the last few days of Spring we’ll be experiencing. Nick Spero joins us to introduce us to some of his favorite wild edibles in the late Spring – Cattail and Milkweed – for a foodie focused month of Foragers.
Nick Spero is a retired entomologist who conducts wild edible walks for the Natural History Society of Maryland, located in Rosedale Maryland. Nick also leads walks to vernal pools to discuss and look at the amphibians that come to the pools to spawn in the spring. Nick also presents programs for several local nature centers on various nature related topics.
