Fall Intern Spotlight 2021 + What’s in Bloom

Ezi lives in Columbia, Maryland, and came to the Fox Haven internship with a desire to deepen their relationship with herbs through experiential learning and hands-on experience. Ezi is a pharmacist by profession and also has their own wellness business called Ayoni Wellness which focuses on holistic approaches to skincare and health.

Carly was born and raised in Gaithersburg, Maryland where they work as a writer for a small international NGO called Local Futures that promotes resilient local economies. Carly was inspired to be a part of the Fox Haven internship to put into practice the relocalizing of the economy of her own life and finding community that online herbal programs could not offer.

What brings you joy? Connection

Danyelle was an intern in the Spring and has continued to volunteer through the Fall. Danyelle is originally from Boston, but recently made Northeast D.C. their home. Danyelle was already an intern but finds herself returning to Fox Haven regularly as a volunteer because of the community and relationships that have been built with other interns and staff members. Dayelle works for a non profit doing work as a farmers market manager and also has a business in consulting, educating and providing products promoting wellness and nutrition.

What brings you joy? Curiosity and learning new things

Enette lives in Ellicott City, Maryland, and is a management analyst for a microbiology lab with a background in health services with the Army. The Fox Haven internship provides Enette with a space to engage with the plants and inspiration to continue the development of their own herb and jewelry making business, Brooklyn Farm. Enette described her first time visiting Fox Haven as a feeling of coming home.
