How to Resolve a Pop-up Blocker Issue

If you’re having difficulty signing up for a website or Eventbrite and suspect that it may be related to a pop-up blocker issue, you can follow these general instructions to disable pop-up blockers on different devices:

On a Computer (Web Browser):

  1. Open your web browser.
  2. Look for the pop-up blocker icon, which is often a red stop sign or an icon that indicates blocked pop-ups, typically located on the right-hand side of the address bar or toolbar.
  3. Right-click on this icon.

The specific options may vary depending on your browser, but you should see an option to disable or turn off the pop-up blocker. Click on this option to disable it.

  2. In the Settings app, use the search bar at the top and type “pop-up” or “pop-up blocker.”
  3. From the search results, you should see an option related to pop-ups or pop-up blockers. Tap on it to access the pop-up blocker settings.

Within these settings, you can usually toggle the pop-up blocker off to disable it.

On an Android:

To disable the pop-up blocker on an Android phone, you’ll need to adjust the pop-up settings in your web browser. The process may vary slightly depending on the browser you’re using. Here are instructions for disabling pop-up blockers on some popular Android browsers:

Google Chrome:

  1. Open the Chrome app on your Android phone.
  2. Tap the three vertical dots (menu icon) in the upper-right corner of the screen to open the menu.
  3. Scroll down and select “Settings.”
  4. Under the “Site settings” section, tap on “Pop-ups and redirects.”
  5. Toggle the switch next to “Pop-ups and redirects” to turn it off. The switch should be grayed out when it’s disabled.

Mozilla Firefox:

  1. Open the Firefox app on your Android phone.
  2. Tap the three vertical dots (menu icon) in the upper-right corner of the screen to open the menu.
  3. Scroll down and select “Settings.”
  4. Under the “Privacy & Security” section, tap on “Cookies and Site Data.”
  5. Toggle the switch next to “Block pop-up windows” to turn it off. The switch should be grayed out when it’s disabled.

Samsung Internet (Samsung devices):

  1. Open the Samsung Internet app on your Android phone.
  2. Tap the three horizontal lines (menu icon) in the bottom-right corner of the screen to open the menu.
  3. Scroll down and select “Settings.”
  4. Tap on “Sites and downloads.”
  5. Toggle the switch next to “Block pop-ups” to turn it off. The switch should be grayed out when it’s disabled.

After you’ve disabled the pop-up blocker in your preferred browser, try accessing the website again to see if the pop-ups are no longer blocked. Keep in mind that some websites may still have internal pop-up blockers, so if you encounter further issues, you might need to check the website’s specific settings or contact their support for assistance.

Please note that the exact steps may vary slightly depending on the browser or version of the operating system you’re using. If you’re still having trouble signing up after disabling the pop-up blocker, please reach out to our website support team at alecks@foxhavenfarm.org for further assistance or troubleshooting, or to take payment over the phone.
