Support BIPOC Scholarships & Reparations

Let us not forget, the land currently known as the United States was colonized using the brutal tactics of slavery and genocide. Ecosystems were destroyed as the Indigenous peoples were forced off their lands and Eurocentric government policies prohibited sacred herbalism practices, threatening severe consequences for anyone who dare defy African and Indigenous oppression.
Fox Haven’s BIPOC Scholarship fund is a way for us to acknowledge the structures of privilege that undermine the wellness of black and brown-skinned people, and to create opportunities for people to heal and thrive.
We’ve set up this campaign with a goal of $10,000. However, the more money raised, the more people we can support!

Any amount between $50-$350 will help us to provide nature-based education and experiences to our BIPOC community, and to help grow our community of nature-lovers, budding herbalists, and foraging enthusiasts.
Please help if you can. Every donation makes a difference.

A word from a Scholarship Recipient

Qubilah was a recipient of a BIPOC scholarship in 2020. She first attended our Fresh Herb CSA which expanded her knowledge and passion for herbalism. Going deeper, she joined Fox Haven as an intern to receive hands-on experience with the plants by helping to care for them. Over the course of time, Qubilah has continued to grow her skills by teaching at Fox Haven, as well as launching her own business! It has been a true joy to be a part of her journey and watch her blossom!
