News: It’s Time to Rise Up
As we work to process the tragic deaths of George Floyd, Breonna Taylor, Ahmaud Arbery, and too many countless others, we want to add our voices to the courageous outcry from individuals within our community and across the globe. Fox Haven stands firmly against racism and discrimination of any kind. We believe that Black Lives Matter. We believe in the power of community efforts to make the world a better, safer place for those of which America has failed.
In times of hardship, we reflect upon the resilience of nature. The systems within nature must work together to regenerate life after a destructive flood, fire, drought, and toxic poisons. Our hope and our work is to learn from nature as we continue to engage in the necessary work of bringing justice, health and respite in an unjust world.
While we recognize and face the injustices of our world, we’ll be sharing any resources we come across in support of our black earth stewards as well as initiatives that are providing direct aid to people on the front lines. This is but a small contribution. We know there is plenty more work to do, and we’re committed to continue taking action to fight against systems of oppression, not just today, but every day as individuals and a local community resource.
