News: Spring Nature Spotting + Important Updates regarding COVID-19

News: Intro to the Digestive System Herbal Support

Dear Fox Haven Friends,

We hope that everyone is faring well during this time of isolation.

In accordance with announcements by the CDC, we have canceled all upcoming events through April 15th. We are doing our best to be nimble and take the necessary actions to keep our staff and patrons safe. Rest assured that we remain vigilant and will continue to update our safety protocols as needed.

At Fox Haven, we continue to fulfill our mission by tending to the Spring garden beds, building out nature-based educational activities and lesson plans, and designing new opportunities to connect with kind supporters like you!

We have some exciting, innovative ideas coming your way. Be sure to follow us on Facebook and Instagram to stay up to date on special announcements and teachings.

In the meantime, we encourage you to focus on what nurtures you. Go into nature, be with your family, breathe, rest. Start where you are with what you have.

🌸 Nature Spottings to Welcome Spring 🌸

Today marks the first day of Spring! A perfect day to explore your local woods. Perhaps you can spot bloodroot blossoming, stinging nettles beginning to leaf out and, of course, all the prolific fresh greens like chickweed and purple dead nettle that can be found growing in the grass of your own backyard! Now is a great time to start seeding your frost-resilient herbs and veggies or spend some time sight-seeing all of the wonders of Spring.

Bloodroot (Sanguinaria canadensis) spotting by Lacey this week!
Fresh Stinging Nettle (Urtica dioica) ripe for snippin’
Chickweed (Stellaria Media) looking like the shining star that it is!
